PROJECTS
Songs proudly mixed, loyally stolen from their countries of origin, tracks that have made people cry and dance.
A caravan heading East, passing through Greek dances that strongly smell of Turkey… Klezmer from Balkan Jews… accelerated Rom versions of Balkan Klezmer… Syrian Taksim… and then Kurdish ballads, where echoes of the Caucasus and Iran already resonate.
A repertoire with a strong Mediterranean influence, with a particular focus on the East, in an original jazz-rock style with psychedelic touches. A fluid and shifting sound that shapes itself around ancestral and evocative melodies.
Traditional music from Balkan, klezmer, Middle Eastern, jazz, Caribbean, and classical cultures.
